Ratu Filise is the new champion of the Christian Mission Fellowship International 7s in Labasa.
The side beat Vanua Levu’s finest team First Light Taveuni 12– nil to claim the $12,000 prize money.
Ratu Filise Coach, Etika Tovilevu says all the hard work and effort of the boys in preparing for the tournament has paid off with the win.
Tovilevu says their participation in the CMFI 7s tournament is part of their build up to the Raka 7’s in Suva next month.
Runner up First Light Taveuni, walks away with $5,000.
Meanwhile, in the tier 2 competition, Wailevu Tunuloa scooped the $4,000 main prize after defeating Pacific Light Taveuni 10- 5 in the final.
In the Under-19 competition, Vueticakau took the $1,000 prize money after they defeated Northern Spirit 17-12.
