Swimmer, Ella Rasau will be among the first Team Fiji athletes to compete in the 2015 Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa this morning.

The 16 year old will be competing in the breast stroke event, which gets underway at 9am.

In the first day of competition at the Commonwealth Youth Games today, Fiji will also be competing in archery, athletics, squash, tennis and weightlifting.

47 athletes are representing the country in the one-week meet in Apia.
