The Raiwaqa Australian Football League team slammed the Colo-i-Suva side 26-7 in the final of the AFL Nine’s competition yesterday.

Raiwaqa dominated the match taking an early 15-3 lead at the half time mark.

The Sakiusa Tuni captained side continued its dominance in the second spell scoring 11 more points to extend their lead.

Tuni says they did not have a lot of time to prepare for the tournament, however they are happy with the outcome of the match.

“Leading up to this this tournament – we haven’t been training together and this is actually the first time we stand out and ran out in the pitch. Its full credit to the boys as they kept their fitness they kept training and I just want to thank all of them for coming out today.”

Tuni says he hopes to help with the development of the sport in the country.
