QVS on track at Tailevu Zone

Queen Victoria School is on track to defend the boy’s title in the Tailevu Athletics Zone underway at the ANZ Stadium.

The boys from Vulinitu currently lead the medal tally ahead of neighbors, Ratu Kadavulevu School.

Tailevu Zone meet manager, Pita Vedewaqa says QVS and RKS are determined to stake their claim for the Coca Cola Games title at the end of the month.

“ I think there is resurgence in our urge to try and bring back lost glory. I think the two schools; QVS and RKS have done a thorough preparation. QVS have been doing off-season training and RKS have given us some positive feedback."

QVS leads the boys division with 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze with RKS in second with 1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze.

Tailevu North College is in third with 1 bronze.

Wainibokasi Secondary School leads the girls division with 3 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze followed by Tailevu North College with 3 gold and 2 bronze.

Saint Vincent College is in third with 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medal.
