Qica confident of maintaining unbeaten streak

Fiji Heavyweight boxing champion, Petero Qica is ready to defend the title against contender, Napoleon Taumoepeau in Nadi this evening.

The 27 year old says despite being out of the professional boxing ring for the last three years, he is confident of adding to his four wins against the highly-favoured Taumoepeau.

“I can’t say anything because only time will tell. I’ve been training good and I’m expecting a good fight against Napoleon. I’m asking all the fans to come out and support me in the fight. I last fought in Nadi in 2011 but this time, its going to be different.”

Nine bouts are scheduled in the Wild West Boxing program which starts at 5:30pm today at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.
