July 14, 2015 12:55 am

Vodafone Flying Fijians captain, Akapusi Qera is expected to miss the Pacific Nations Cup opening test against Tonga is Suva this weekend.

National coach, John McKee says the France-based back-rower suffered a minor knee injury and will sit out as a pre-caution.

“Qera has had a blow to the knee, its bruising but there are no strains or ligament damage so we will just let them settle down for two days. He was keen to play this week but we said no as we are trying to look at the bigger picture which is the World Cup.”
