Qera ready to lead Flying Fijians against Samoa

July 21, 2015 6:51 pm

Vodafone Flying Fijians rugby captain, Akapusi Qera says he is ready to lead the side against Samoa in the Pacific Nations Cup, on Saturday.

The France-based back rower injured his knee after the clash against the Maori All Blacks and missed out on last week’s match against Tonga.
Qera says he is raring to go after missing the opening round.

_ “I had a test before the game on Saturday and I managed to pull it out with no pain on my knee and this is a major task, the big long flight to America and we will assess it again when we get there and we will see how it goes.”_

Qera is also urging the Fijian public to continue supporting the team as it has been boosting the morale of the players in the past two matches.

Fiji takes on Samoa at 12pm at Sacramento in USA, on Saturday.
