Vodafone Flying Fijians skipper Akapusi Qera says despite being in a pool of death for the Rugby World Cup, the side will be able to spring surprises.

These were his comments after Fiji’s 39-29 win over Samoa in the Pacific Nations Cup in Canada yesterday.

Fiji is pooled with England, Wales, Australia and Uruguay for the World Cup and Qera says his team will be ready.

“This win is a boost as whole and for this young group as a whole going forward with the World Cup, which is just a few weeks away and the game against England won’t be easy as the pool that has been labeled as the pool of death and we will survive that pool.”

Fiji plays England on 19 September at 7am.
