Horseracing pundits in Suva are favouring the same two horses from last year as top bets again at this year’s Melbourne Cup.
The race that ‘Stops the Nation’ takes place at 5pm (Fiji time) tomorrow in Australia with a $6.2 million prize purse up for grabs.
Grant Betting Ltd Director, Peter McCoy says the odds are good for everyone with wide betting involved with one of the strongest fields ever assembled this year.
McCoy has labeled last year’s runners-up, Red Cadaeaux and trainer Gai Waterhouse’s Florente as horses to consider.
Irish Jockey Colm O’Donahue who will ride Jakkalberry is also tipped as a hot favourite.
The event will be aired live on FBC TV from 3pm while the race can also be heard on our sister radio station, Gold FM.
