The Fiji Under 15 AFL team has started its preparation for the Oceania Cup next month.

Today a large number of players turned up for the trials at Albert Park in Suva and their fitness was closely monitored.

AFL Development Coordinator Simon Highfield says they will select the best team possible.

“The best Under 15 boys in the country have come together to hopefully be selected for the national team to compete in the Oceania Cup against Nauru, Tonga and Vanuatu.”

Players from as far as the western division attended the trials and
Highfield says it is vital that they prepare well and players will need to prove themselves.

The Oceania Cup kicks off next month.
