Athletes vying for a spot in the Team Fiji for the 2019 Pacific Games should start their preparation’s now.

According to FASANOC all sporting federations should have a definitive selection criteria for athletes so they know what is required of them to make it into the team.

Team Fiji Chef de mission Patrick Bower says it will take more than an athlete’s physical performance to participate in the games.

_“We want the best. And attitude plays a big role and the behavior of the athlete so that they can go as a team and work together with the rest.” _

The 2019 Pacific Games will be held in Apia Samoa from the 8th to the 20th of July.

Fiji is expected to field a team of over 200 athletes and officials for the games.
