Pray for team: Nayacalevu

Vodafone Flying Fijians winger, Waisea Nayacalevu is calling on the nation to pray for the team as they prepare for the Rugby World Cup in two weeks time.

Nayacalevu, who is contracted to France Top 14 champions, Stade Francais says the player’s faith has been a motivating factor in their preparations.

The 25 year old, who is equaling devastating in the center’s position says the players have bonded well since coming together in the Pacific Nations Cup and are all confident of causing some upsets against the higher ranked teams in their pool such as hosts England, Australia and Wales.

Fiji will take on Canada in a warm-up match at 1:30am tomorrow.

The Flying Fijians will then open their World Cup campaign against England on September 19th at 7am and you can watch it live on FBC TV.

Meanwhile in other warm-up matches held this morning, England defeated Ireland 21-13, Wales beat Italy 23-19 and Scotland is currently leading France, 9-6 at halftime.

Today, the Wallabies will take on USA in Chicago, while Georgia meets Japan.
