Prasad eyes better outing in Oceania tourney

National snooker rep, Rahil Prasad is looking forward to competing in the Oceania Championship in Sydney next year.

The Number 3 ranked player in the country competed in the competition in March this year in New Zealand with his younger brother, Sahil in the Under 21-grade.

“This is the second time for me going to compete in the Under-21 grade. Last time, I lost in the quarterfinals so hopefully I will do better than last year.”

Prasad, the son of former national champion, Yogendra, will compete alongside national champion, Jiten Prasad and Fiji Number 2, Pritesh Khatri in the Oceania Championship, which will be held in Sydney, Australia in March next year.

Meanwhile, Fiji Snooker and Billiard Association President, Riffat Bhatti says a request for a national coach has been made to the International Billiard and Snooker Federation for next year.
