Rewa football rep Garish Prasad has dedicated the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants title to his late grandfather.
Prasad had an outstanding tournament, and after missing out on the first pool match against Ba, he came back and produced an excellent performance.
Yesterday in the final, he was one of the key players from the Rewa side, playing on the right side of midfield.
“Feeling really good. My grandfather passed away in the first game. I would like to dedicate this win to my grandfather Henry Whippy. He will be missed a lot and can’t find a man like him and he was my inspiration and would like to dedicate this win to my grandfather.”
Prasad is a Fiji Under-20 and 23 rep.
Meanwhile, the Rewa football executives will meet today to decide on what celebrations will be held for the win.
