Players to decide on Fiji venue for Crusaders

December 16, 2014 11:19 pm

New Zealand Rugby Players Association Boss Rob Nichol plans to meet with players over the coming days before taking their views to the Crusaders, Hurricanes and New Zealand Rugby administrators.

Nichol told Rugby Heaven that they are a little bit concerned in terms of season structure and managing workload.

The Crusaders administrators will hope their impressive Fijian wing Nemani Nadolo will help draw a big crowd and support their team.

Nichol says there are risks involved as if Nadolo is not selected because of injury or form, the locals may not turn up in numbers.

Nichol also has a few concerns about the playing surface of Suva’s National Stadium.

FBC Sports has emailed Fiji Sports Council CEO Litiana Loabuka on their comments about the ANZ Stadium’s playing surface issue but is yet to receive a reply.

The match cannot be staged at Christchurch’s AMI Stadium because it clashes with the FIFA Under 20 World Cup.
