Plans for next year’s event, general policy matters and random drug testing for players were some of the agendas that were discussed during the Fiji Football Board of Control meeting today.
Association President Rajesh Patel says players who are tested positive for marijuana will be banned from the sport for 2 years.
“So within this two years these players who have found guilty should be negative when tested. If they’re tested positive for marijuana they will be banned for life.”
Patel also confirmed that they have decided the venues of IDC, BOG and Fiji FACT but they will have to negotiate it with the council.
“We have planned to hold Fiji FACT at Nausori’s Ratu Cakobau Park, Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giant at Lautoka’s Churchill Park and the Courts IDC at Suva’s ANZ Stadium."
Meanwhile, the Fiji-Estonia match kicks off at 3pm tomorrow at ANZ Stadium in Suva and you can catch the live commentary of the match on Radio Fiji Two, with voice of soccer, Raymond Stoddart.
