Hawaiian Surfer, Lori Park has shown interest to sponsor any locals interested in learning or to participate in the Stand-up Paddle Board Race competitions.

The professional athlete says the locals have a gift of sensing strong currents and it’s about time they put it to good use.

Park won the women’s category with a time of two hours and 53 minutes.

She says she is willing to assist locals in becoming professionals in the competition.

“We try to help somehow and I’ve got some extra boards and if you guys have any ideas, just contact Namotu.”

Park has been participating for more than ten years and made her comeback in Musket Cove yesterday after two years.

The weeklong annual Fiji’s Legendary Regatta Race finishes on Wednesday.
