Education Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has asked the parents to support their children when taking part in any sporting event.
Speaking at the Fiji Primary Schools IDC in Lautoka, Sayed-Khaiyum says parents and teachers play a very important part when it comes to sport at grassroots level.
“It’s also very critical for us to understand the teachers and also the parents play very vital role in-order to take them football games, help them with the coaching and give them the encouragement.”
Meanwhile, Under-14 debutants Taveuni held Nadroga one all in its first pool match today while Labasa thumped Navua 5-1.
