Rewa Football Coach, Marika Rodu says the team will use the Pacific Cup competition in New Zealand as a build-up to the National League next year.

But Rodu adds this is not to say his side will be there just to make up the numbers in the Pacific Cup and the Delta Tigers are determined to put in a strong performance.

“The whole idea is to take a mixture of younger players and the current senior players to expose them to quality opponents and prepare them for a hectic season ahead of us.”

Rodu has selected the best 18 players from the training squad for the tournament, which gets underway tomorrow.
