Opted player makes a return in the national squad

Lautoka soccer rep Zibraz Sahib has once again showed interest in returning to the National Squad after had opted out due to family commitments.

National Team director Tarunesh Reddy says, after naming the 31 member squad, four players had withdrawn however, one has showed interest to return.

“One player has shown interest again to join the camp and after having a discussion with the National Coach, we had allowed the player to join camp so he is training with the district Lautoka now and he will be join the camp with other players on the 15th of May”.

Fiji is pooled with Solomon’s, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea in the Oceania Nations Cup.

Fiji plays New Zealand in their opening match on the 2nd of June.

In other pool matches, Fiji battles Solomon Islands while in their last pool match, they meet Papua New Guinea.

All matches will be played in Lawson Tama in Honiara.
