April 28, 2015 5:27 am

All Oceania National Olympic Committees have been reminded of their roles ahead of the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.

This was during the pre-ONOC Assembly meetings being held in Suva.

ONOC executive director Dennis Miller says the NOCs were put through the process which will be in place during the Rio Olympics, including contradicting sponsors.

“Issues of athlete images. It is relevant to Fiji, which we would think would be going to Rio, as sevens have a big sponsor here which is not an Olympic sponsor. So we had to talk about that can be handled in due course.”

On the agenda were issues such as ticketing, media, sponsorship amongst others.

The meetings continue in Suva the whole week before assembly on Saturday.
