The OFC Executive Committee has declined to decide on the second representative from OFC at the FIFA U-17 World Cup until the appeal process has been concluded.

The Committee met last week in Fiji in the matter regarding Solomon Islands’ Chris Satu and his eligibility to play in OFC U-16 Championship last year.

The Solomon Islands Football Federation earlier appealed to the OFC Disciplinary Committee on Satu’s eligibility however, the Federation was not legally represented at the hearing.

The hearing was adjourned for at least 14 days to allow the Federation to seek legal advice and to make further submissions to the Appeal Committee on the OFC submissions.

The hearing will be reconvened at a date to be set by OFC.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Football Association has already bid and is hoping to replace Solomon Island at the U-17 World Cup in September.
