Fiji Airways national coach, Gareth Baber will keep a close eye on the new players who are part of the Oceania 7s, which kicks off at ANZ Stadium in Suva today.

Baber has named five new players in his final squad.

Baber says he will be using all his 12 players when they take on American Samoa and New Caledonia in the pool matches.

“The qualities you need to perform at that level, I want to see this players having those skills, those mental toughness while they playing here in Fiji. It’s good to have that pressure and we want to do well for our home nation.”

The Oceania 7s kicks off at 11am today.

Fiji plays its first game against New Caledonia at 4.40pm and plays American Samoa at 7.40pm.
