Players from the Northern division team are already stealing the limelight at the Ultimate Fiji Soccer Cup tournament underway in the Western division.
Development Officer, Iosefo Vosaboto says the youngsters from Vanua-Levu have shown a lot of potential that have caught the eyes of the national selectors.
“Six of our players have already been selected from the Under 16 and we got more numbers too in the Under 18. And I think there will be more and more number of players from the North will be representing the National team.”
He adds the achievements will make the sport grow in the division.
Meanwhile, the tournament is a chance for players to impress officials to make it to the Under 17 to compete at the Oceania Nations Cup next year.
The national Under-17 football squad will be named this Sunday.
