The New Zealand 7s side has made a powerful start in the Hamilton tournament, thumping France 52-7.

Jo Ravouvou and Luke Masirewa were in top form scoring a try each for the side.

New Zealand captain, Scott Curry says he hopes the team will keep the
momentum going into the later stages of the tournament.

“Absoulty when we come out to play we want to win every game we play so getting into the cup final is one thing. So we started well here, we look to continue that we got two more tough matches against Argentina and Scotland.”

New Zealand faces Scotland at 3.46pm and then plays Argentina its final pool match at 7.34pm.
