New Champions to be crowned at Savusavu 7's

A new champion will be crowned in the 2018 Fiji Bitter Savusavu 7s which kicked off today at Ratu Ganilau Park.

This after the defending champions Ratu Filise failed to show up in the tournament.

Speaking at the launch today, Sports Minister Laisenia Tuitubou told the players taking part to have a goal and work towards it.

“A Fijian player must change is attitude meaning no short cut attitude no give up attitude but he must change his attitude. You also need to have a vision. If you don’t have a vision you will struggle. You must have a plan work towards it.”

24 teams will be competing in the three day tournament and the winner of the main division will walk away with $5,000.

Meanwhile in the FBC Under-20 7s competition which start this morning, Vueti Cakau defeated Sting Ray 15-14, Sabeto beat Bilibili 12-5, Saint Theresa thumped Lura Brothers 24-0, Brothers beat Covenant Brothers 12-5 and Sagale Babas outclassed FBC Gaunavou by 21-0.
