A new captain will lead the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s in the 2018-19 World Rugby Women’s Series.
This change came after former captain Ana Maria Roqica was not selected in the extended squad to prepare for the first leg in Colorado, USA.
Interim coach Alifereti Doviverata says this is an opportunity for others to step up and contest for the captaincy role.
“I told the girls who are here if they are not performing and not keeping up with training then they have to go and work for it, then other girls can come in.”
Meanwhile, the opening round of the women’s 7s series will be held on the 20th to the 21st of next month in USA.
