Four new Fiji Residents players are eager to make their debut in the Battle of the Bati tournament that will kick-off at the ANZ Stadium on Saturday.

Sakiusa Gavidi, Joseva Senivonokula, Josua Rokonavutoro and Vereti Bukavesi will be amongst 16 local Bati players that will battle against the overseas based Bati reps to finalize the squad to the Rugby League World Cup next month.

Newcomer Gavidi says he will do his best and that nothing is impossible.

“I’ve been training really hard for this battle since selected last week and I know I can prove myself even though I just started playing league.”

The overseas based Bati players will arrive in the country tomorrow.
