Alisi Galo

23-year old Alisi Galo who is inspired by her family to strive for the better was overjoyed as she was named in the Fiji Pearls Squad to the World Cup.

This will be Galo’s first ever World Cup outing.

She says she is aware of the challenges that are before her adding that she is willing to overcome them.

Galo was part of the Pearls training squad who traveled to Australia for training and also took on teams such as the New Zealand All Stars Team, the Silver Ferns and the New Zealand Men’s team.

The Pearls finished last in the Cadbury Netball Series in New Zealand.

“It was exciting at the same time it was challenging because I knew the tough training that we went through.”

The Netball World Cup will be held in Liverpool in England from the 12th to the 21st of this month.

The Pearls Leave for England tomorrow.
