The Fiji Pearls netball side will begin its trial next week as they prepare for the England World Cup in July.
Netball Fiji President Wainikiti Bogidrau says eight overseas based players have expressed their interest in joining the national side.
Bogidrau says they have a number of tournaments lined up before the World Cup.
“We’ve got six international test matches before that – we are touring Singapore in April, we’ve got three test matches with the Singapore national team and than we’ve got a joint training with Australia for two weeks in Brisbane. Then we’ll have the test matches against Samoa and the Silver Ferns before the World Cup in July.”
The side will begin its trials next week Saturday and hopes to select 30 players for the national extended squad.
