Development plans set for future Pearls

Netball Fiji plans to strengthen its schools competitions in both primary and secondary level.

This is part of their 2021 competition structure and its goal of lifting the standard of the lone female dominated sport in the country.

Netball Fiji Secretary Lusi Rokoura says they are in dialogue with the schools netball associations on ways to carry out and hype up competitions.

“We are happy that they are aligning to netball Fiji’s format and we are happy to work with them going forward this year in order to provide again the quality of competitions for our members who are future Pearls from the primary to the secondary school level we want to have a pathway clear for anyone wanting to wear the Fiji colors.”

Rokoura adds at the moment all plans are in the pipeline with dates to be confirmed after its Annual General Meeting at the end of next month.

Meanwhile, national coach Jenny Brazel in expected to arrive into the country on the 22nd of February.
