Fiji Pearls captain, Mere Neiliko is confident of the team’s chances at the Netball World Cup which starts today.

Neiliko says team has had the best preparation possible heading into the tournament and is determined to give her best effort for the team.

“You would expect a different team altogether, compared to 2011. I’d say this year was a blessing for us because we got to play the Silver Ferns twice and it is good timing for us heading into the championships.”

The Fiji Pearls will take on Wales in their first preliminary round World Cup match at 11:50am today and you can watch the delayed coverage at 3:30pm on FBC TV.
