Defending champions Navy retained the Bainimarama Trophy against their rival the Third Fiji Infantry Regiment Battalion 35 – 15 at Suva’s Bidesi Park yesterday.

The match concluded the Republic of Fiji Military Force rugby season.

Navy Captain, Meli Baivatu says since they lost the challenge few months earlier they had to come back with a good game plan and wanted to put a good platform for this year winning the Bainimarama Trophy.

In the other match the RFMF Officers won against the Warrant officer senior NSCO’s 29 points to 22.
