The Navua soccer team took out the senior division title in the Courts IDC after beating Nadroga 2-0 in the final at the ANZ Stadium.
Vineet Chand scored Navua’s first goal while veteran Seveci Rokotakala made it 2-0.
Both teams were locked at nil-all till the breather.
Coach Mohammed Shafil thanked his players for their effort throughout this tournament.
“My boys did a very great job this afternoon and all the credit goes to the boys and we’ve been working hard for this tournament and I want to thank the fans.”
Captain Vineet Chand says their four-year drought has come to an end.
“Definitely it was a very rejoice moment just because we failed to win this tournament in the past two years but we’ve been playing in the past four years
and I want to thank the Almighty God.”
