Navua to feature in Sangam World Cup

The Navua TIV Sangam team will for the first time in its history play at the 2014 Sangam World Cup which starts in Auckland New Zealand.

Team Official, Gopal Naidu says the team did fill in the required forms to take part and were lucky to be chosen to take part.

Naidu adds they are not in the tournament to increase the numbers as players like current Navua and former Suva rep Shivam Nathan, former Navua reps Ronal Rao,Richard Rao and Ritchel Rao have boosted the team’s chances in the tournament.

Navua takes on Papatoetoe Sangam in their first pool match at 4.20pm today.

Other teams from Fiji taking part in the tournament include Lautoka, Suva, and Northern Sangam.
