National School Swimming team seeks nation's blessing

The Fiji National school swimming association presented their I-Tatau today to the Fijian President Major General retired Jioji Konrote before heading for the Adelaide 2017 Pacific Schools Games.

38 team members will represent Fiji at the Games which begins next Monday.
Head Coach Jennifer Liew says she these are the best swimmers from various schools in the country.

“They did break records a lot this year, in our school swimming there were a lot of records broken which adds a lot of recorders made it to the team”.

Meanwhile, President, Major General Retired Jioji Konrote reminded Team Fiji of the importance of representing Fiji at the International level.

“Members of the swimming team, I’m confident that you will create your own history as you improve your swimming skills in Adelaide. I’d like ti remind you all that all national representatives or as a national representatives you have a duty to perform to the best of your ability to your own country, on off out of the pool, fly the Fiji flag with passionate and pride and enjoy yourselves.”

The team will leave for Adelaide on Friday.
