The Natakala Rugby Club will host a 7s tournament for the first time this weekend to raise money for a fitness gym that will be built in Verata Wailevu village in Tailevu.

Team Manager Sevuloni Bulicakau says they are doing all the hard-yards to make its first sevens tournament a successful one.

“We’re trying to get up to another step and try to win our own competition and we’ve invited teams as far from Vanua Levu and from the Western Division.”

Big teams like Yamacia, Army, Police and Taveuni First Light will be among twenty-eight teams who will compete in the two day competition which starts tomorrow at Nausori’s Ratu Cakobau Park.

The winner will walk away with five thousand dollars.
