Fiji Airways men’s 7s coach Gareth Baber believes Kalione Nasoko will be one player to watch in the World Cup this weekend.

The 27-year-old Nasoko has played 109 matches for Fiji, scored 48 tries, contributed 244 points and received seven yellow cards in the World Rugby Sevens Series since last year.

Baber says Nasoko has grown as a player and has had a great impact in the team.

“He has grown as a player, his maturity as well. It been just 19 months into him being round in the unit. Kalione Nasoko is a great footballer, he has a good understanding of the game and yet he is physically fit. He is a 105kg player same as Semi Kunatani and Paula Dranisinukula.”

Nasoko will combine with players like Paula Dranisinukula, Jasa Veremalua, Sevuloni Mocenacagi and Leone Nakarawa in the forwards.
