Nine pools have been drawn for the Rami Sami Nasinu 7s today.
The tournament sees familiar teams like Coral Coast 7s champion Police Blue, Raka 7s winner Ratu Filise, First Light Taveuni, Wardens, Uluinakau Babas and Suva Stallions in the mix.
Tournament Secretary Jone Tukana says they are anticipating a very competitive tournament.
“You see this teams you see the calibres they have and the level of competition they bring with them. For them to be included in the tournament it’s a major boost. It’s going to be an exciting two day event full of action.”
Thirty six teams will play three pool matches, after which top 16 teams qualifies for the elimination round before the quarterfinals, semis and final.
The tournament will be held Friday and Saturday at Ratu Cakobou Park in Nausori.
