Nasilasila records most points on Day One

Fiji Airways 7s play-maker Amenoni Nasilasila recorded the most points, after scoring 76 overall after last night’s opening pool match against Samoa at the Sydney 7s tournament.

South Africa’s Seabelo Senatla is second with 75 followed by Australia’s James Stannard with 74 while Tom Mitchell of England in fourth place with 63.

Meanwhile, James Stannard is leading the cost conversions with 32 points while Nasilasila sits at 23 and he was also rated the third best tackler with 34.

Fiji will play Russia in its second pool match at 5.09pm today before facing New Zealand at 8.42pm.

The Cup quarter-final kicks off at 12.28pm tomorrow, semi-final begins at 6.36pm and the final is schedule for 9.48pm.

Meanwhile, looking at other match results, England beat Spain 22-10, South Africa thrashed Papua New Guinea 50-0, France outclassed Wales 31-12, and Argentina defeated Kenya 7-5.

After the Dubai and South Africa leg of the 2017/18 World 7s Series, Fiji is in third place at the standings behind New Zealand and South Africa with 28 points.
