Naitasiri came strong in the second spell and scored two tries through Mosese Gavidi and Meli Nakarawa.

It’s been 20 years since the Naitasiri rugby club was formed and coach Koli Sewabu says it is a pleasing achievement for the team after missing out on the Skipper Cup.

“There was a lot of goals set in and vision being set up from the beginning and obviously we started off with a bit of a roller-coaster. We didn’t really finished where we wanted to be in the Skipper Cup but we were just coming together especially how we played against Nadroga and we set the standard from there.”

It’s after 16 years the Farebrother Trophy will rest in Naitasiri until the next season.

The side defeated the title holders Namosi 21-20 at Thompson Park in Navua and then beat Nadroga 26-17 in the challenge match last weekend.
