Isi Naisarani becomes the latest Fijian who will don the Australia rugby jumper when he starts against South Africa in the Rugby Championships this weekend.
He has been named at number eight, following in the footsteps of the Human Skewer, Ilivasi Tabua.
Wallabies coach Michael Chieka says he is expecting big things from one of the best back row in Australian rugby.
“He has been building nicely now for probably a year and a half and he has fitted in the squad nicely and I am really happy he is going to get a run. He has been training hard and he has been pushing himself and I am really looking forward to it.”
Naisarani is joined in the starting team by Tevita Kuridrani and Samu Kerevi.
Meanwhile, Sevu Reece, also joins a long list of Fijians who have played for the New Zealand All Blacks.
Stuff NZ reports that Reece will follow in the fleeting footsteps of Fijian flyers Joe Rokocoko, Sitiveni Sivivatu and Waisake Naholo when he this weekend becomes the 11th Fijian-born All Black and the fifth in the 21st century.
According to Stuff, the other Fijians who have played in the famous Black jumper include David Solomon, Arthur Jennings, Bernie Fraser, Ron Williams, Tabia Matson, Joeli Vidiri, and Seta Tamanivalu.
