The Vodafone Fiji Bati captain Kevin Naiqama is honored to once more represent the people of Fiji and he looked forward to captaining the national team to take on the PNG Kumuls in the Pacific Test this weekend.

He says they are expecting the Kumuls to be a tough opponent, but their preparations had gone well and he was impressed how the emerging players had performed.

“Most of the team were members of Mick Potters squad and it has shown with how quickly those connections and understanding has been re-established in the squad. Young players have stepped up we’re really gelled in well.”

He adds he’s happy to be back in the camp with his Vodafone Bati teammates.

Fiji will have a captains run tomorrow and they will then attend the Petero Civoniceva Awards conducted by the Australian Fijian Rugby League in the evening.

Meanwhile, Fiji takes on PNG at 6pm on Saturday while Tonga will take on Samoa at 9.10pm.
