Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s utility back- Miriama Naiobasali is ready to stamp her mark in her first Rugby 7s World Cup in San Francisco later this month.
The 23-year-old says making it into the final cut at the World Cup is a big highlight of her rugby career.
“This is a big milestone for me making it into the final squad for the world cup. Especially with some of the big teams we normally play against and we’re hoping to make a difference in this world cup.”
The Fijiana side will open its campaign against Spain on the 20th of this month.
Meanwhile, the Fiji men’s team is currently camping in Utah and the 13 member squad will be named on the 18th of this month.
Fiji opens its campaign against the winner of Qualifying Match 7, either Japan or Uruguay on the 21st of this month.
