Waisake Naholo has made a miracle recovery to be named in the All Blacks’ Rugby World Cup squad.
The Fiji-born winger suffered the injury while making his international debut against Argentina with what was believed to be a World Cup-ending injury.
After undergoing herbal treatment in his village in Nadroumai, Nadroga, the speedster returned to New Zealand and convinced selectors he was fit for duty.
High-profile players that missed the cut in the All Blacks squad include Cory Jane, Israel Dagg, Charles Piutau and Lima Sopoaga.
The All Blacks are grouped in Pool C in the World Cup alongside Argentina, Tonga, Georgia and Namibia.
