Nagusa opts out of national 7s duty

A blow for the Fiji 7s squad this week with star forward, Nemani Nagusa opting out of the final leg of the IRB World Sevens Series.

The hard working Nadroga forward has informed national coaches he is fatigued and needs time to recover.

Fiji 7s assistant coach, Etuate Waqa says they have a plan for his replacement.

“We’ve made sure we have replacements and its been done all the time. We have Nakarawa, he’s a going forward man and is just as capable as Nagusa."

The final 12 players for London and Scotland will be named on Wednesday while team management have request players to resume camp on Wednesday.

Fiji’s Glasgow 7s pool opponents are Zimbabwe, Portugal and Argentina with the two-day event being held on May 5-6.
