Nadroga gears up for first defence

August 27, 2015 11:53 pm

The Nadroga rugby side is looking forward to defending the HFC Farebrother Trophy against Nadi on home turf at Lawaqa Park this weekend.

The renowned venue had been closed for renovations for the past two months and has only re-opened this week in time for the Stallions’ first defence after retaining the Skipper Cup last weekend.

Nadroga Rugby President, Tiko Matawalu says the match against Nadi will be a tough encounter.

“It’s going to be a morale booster for the boys playing in front of their home-crowd and this is something they would love to give back to the crowd who were unable to witness the semi-final and final which was played away from home.”

The Nadroga-Nadi clash will kick-off at 3pm on Saturday and you can catch a live commentary on Bula FM.

Prior to this match, there will be two Vodafone Trophy matches between Yasawa and Ba at 11am and Malolo versus Nadroga Under-23 at 1pm.
