The Nadroga rugby side has successfully defended the HFC Bank Farebrother challenge against Vatukoula thrashing the gold miners 56-11 at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.

Nadroga led 16-6 at the break and scored another 6 tries in the second spell for victory.

Nadroga scored the first try midway in the first spell after a mistake from the halves pair of Vatukoula.

The Stallions came back strong in the second spell and was rewarded with a penalty try after some hard work from the forwards.

Nemani Raiwalui added a brace of tries while Peni Nailago, Luke Tirimaidroka and Timoci Sauvoli also dotted down for the home side.

Nadroga will now face Naitasiri in next week’s challenge.
