October 5, 2017 4:25 pm

The Nadi football side will be without its top strikers during the Courts Inter District Championship next week.

Nadi President Javed Ahmed, has confirmed releasing Josevata Dugucagi to Lautoka, while Rusiate Matererega has been suspended for three matches after failing to turn up for the national duties.

Ahmed says, it hasn’t dampened the spirit of the other players who are ready for the week long championship.

“We have got Rahul Krishna whose back from New Zealand so he will be in the mid-field and we have also got three or four youth players who have made the final squad.”

Meanwhile, the Jetsetters are being coached by Viliame Toma, who is assisted by Emmanuel Manu and Yogendra Dutt.

The IDC kicks off next Tuesday with Dreketi playing Rewa in the opening match at 1pm at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

In the other matches on the same day, Nadi plays Tavua at 3pm, Ba takes on Labasa at 5.30pm and host Lautoka faces Suva at 7.30pm.

You can catch the live commentaries of all the matches from 1pm on RADIO FIJI TWO, with voice of soccer, Raymond Stoddart.
