Nadi town came to a standstill today as they celebrated the achievements of their heroes after winning the 2019 Vodafone Fiji FACT in Lautoka last week.

People from all walks of life joined the celebration.

The Nadi team management says they did not expect the large turnout today.

The players shared $20,000 for their effort six days ago.

$17,000 was from the Fiji FACT prize money while another $3000 was donated by an ardent supporter.

Nadi Football Vice President Mohammed Rafiq says it’s very encouraging to see the level of support today.

‘We are happy I’m very proud for the supporters the fans who have come out in large numbers to support this occasion and it shows the passion and the pride they have for the district Nadi football executives are really proud of this moment’.

Nadi player Christopher Kumar says they are now setting their sights on the Battle of the Giants and the Inter-District Championship titles.
